The December 16, 2007 meeting of the GTPCC had a total of 17 member and 8 guests in attendance. 

The GTPCC meeting was called to order at 2:30 by the president, Don Schoening, who introduced the guest speaker, Adam Balla, graphic artist for American Standard, presentation of “The Power of Linux”. 

The presentation consisted of what Linux had to offer users, the many distribution choices, acquiring copies of Linux, ISO Burning, and an excellent demonstration of the Linux Ubunto operating system. Mr. Balla demonstrated the many of the applications of this operating system which was followed by a Q & A session. Mr. Balla also noted questions could be directed to his e-mail address: adamballa@gmail.com 

Don Schoening noted that a summary of Mr. Balla’s presentation would be posted on GTPCC web site on the Meeting Review Page, and noting that Mr. Balla would be available for a Q & A during next months “Dr. Sams Discussion Group”.  

The Vice President, Dr. Sam Giglio, discussed upcoming programs for 2008 with January Presentation of Revisiting Vista by Greg Badeaux to discuss the changes by Vista since its debut a year ago.

Jerry McDaniel, Treasurer, encouraged everyone to patronize businesses which support our club by contributing door prizes for our meetings. Mention the club when  visiting supporting businesses, as the club appreciates their generosity.
