Todayís meeting of the GTPCC was held in The Community Room of Howell Furniture, 6095 Folsom, Beaumont, Texas 

Attendance: 11 Members and 7 Guests.


1:30: Dr. Samís Q&A discussion Group SIG was held. Topics discussed;

     Tech Support and websites,

     Tech support alert and start64.com,

     Acronis 2011. 

2:30: Main presentation with guest speaker Jay Sheppard, Dispute Resolution Director for BBB of S.E.Texas. Ms. Sheppard discussed scams and ID theft, and it is nearly impossible to retrieve lost funds. The BBB started in 1912 with local office since 1940 serving 7 counties. The BBB is not to be confused with Chamber of Com. or the Credit Bureau. Mentioned was how to file complaints on line and mediation procedures. Also mentioned, the events Lunch & Learn, Seniors Day, Morning Presentations, Shred-It and Forget-It (held twice a year), $20.00 fees for dispute resolutions, as well as the National Do Not Call Registry (see gtpcc.org/Bulletin Board/Scams and Alerts).  

3:40: President thanks Ms. Sheppard for her great presentation. Announcement were made; next months meeting and APCUG elections. Following announcements, Treasurer, Jerry McDanial held drawing for door prizes, winners were:
