The July 9, 2006 meeting of the Golden Triangle PC Club had a total of 26 participants, including guests.

The GTPCC meeting was called to order at 2:00 PM by club president Don Schoening who welcomed all members and guests, and added a special welcome to those in the audience who were from the Southwest Louisiana PC Users group.

The meeting was then turned over to Ira Wilsker who gave a great presentation on “Identity Theft." Ira's presentation was informative and interesting, and it made us aware our vulnerabilities in this age of thieves. Also mentioned was the “Shred It and Forget It” event at Parkdale Mall on Saturday, July 15, 2006 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM., where you can take all of your personal papers for shredding.

After questions and answers, Ira held a drawing for a total of eight great door prizes for eight lucky winners.

A brief mention of upcoming programs was made.

There being no further business, the July 9, 2006 GTPCC meeting was adjourned at 3:00 PM.

Our next meeting is August 13, 2006, with a presentation on ”Computer Maintenance and Management” by NFO Technologies.

Respectfully submitted,
Don Schoening, GTPCC President
for Danny Ramsey GTPCC Secretary
