1:30 began SIG Dr. Sam's Discussion Group which included Easeus Partition Master (www.easeus.com).

Don Schoening, President, contrasted Easeus Partition Master to Partition Magic as well as window’s  partitioner.  The demonstration revealed that Easeus Partition Master is very similar in look-touch-feel to Partition Magic.  However, Partition Magic is not compatible with Windows Vista or XP 64 bit. 

Don discussed Windows XP and Vista partition expansion and shrinking.  

Easeus (Free) is compatible with Windows XP and Vista (32 bit). Easeus Pro,  is compatible with Windows XP 64 bit and Windows Vista (32 & 64 bit). Hard disk drive control at this level is available within Windows XP and Windows Vista. However, easeus partitioning software may be more user friendly.


GTPCC meeting was called to order at 2:30 PM by Dr. Sam Giglio introducing Guest speakers Steven Fore. vice president and general manager of Computer Shak and Roy Cooper, Representing Intel  I7 chip, presented hardware regarding the most current computer components.  Of particular interest is the solid state hard disk drive. Performance comparison of the solid state HDD to the 10,000 rpm HDD disk drive revealed that the solid state HDD is 4x faster.  

The Intel Quad 7 Motherboard was demonstrated  and circulated among the audience for viewing. This mobo is designed for the Intel 4 core cpu.  Many advanced features were explained the mobo is designed for either the solid state HDD or the spinning HDD.  Windows Vista will support the dual core and quad core cpu. Windows Vista will not support the dual and separate cpu's mobo.  This particular mobo is for the desktop computer only. 

After presentation Q & A drawing for door prizes was held.
