The February 18th meeting of the Golden Triangle PC Club had a total 0f 32 participants, including guests.
The meeting was called to order by the club President, Don Schoening who welcomed everyone to the meeting for the presentation of "Computer Backups and Utilities".
The president ran the Power Point program "The Perfect Backup Approach" for hard drive backups by Gene Barlow of User Group Relations.
The presentation gave the why for hard drive backups, how to approach backups, how to make proper backups, as well as the recovery of backups.
The newest backup software utilities by "Acronis" for backing up a home or buisness computer was presented and discussed. The presentation was well received and of interest to all since backing up computers is so important.
The meeting continued with the mention of the clubs PC, put togeather by Jerry McDanial using parts donated by Joe Brooks of Zydeco Technologies, and club members Jerry McDanial and Don Schoening. The purchase of a wireless card was required for access to the internet.
Elections were then held with Don Schoening nominated, seconded, and approved for club president. Dr. Sam Giglio nominated, seconded and approved for club vice president. Jerry McDanial nominated, seconded and approved for club treasurer. Alice Sibert nominated, seconded and approved for club secretary.
The upcoming GTPCC meeting for March 18th, "Windows on a Mac" was mentioned with a special invitation to all "Mac" computer users.

The meeting adjourned at 4:45 PM.
